Frequently Asked Questions
What are the IHANA membership fees?
There aren't any.
How often is the newsletter published?
There is no newsletter.
What else isn't there?
There is no pet registry and no sponsored events such as shows, trades or demonstrations. There are also no more message boards or member maps.
What happened to the Message Boards and Maps?
Part of IHANA's original purpose was to facilitate networking. It became clear over time that the hamster fancy in North America was not established enough to lead to club formation. As such, IHANA is content to be a resource site. Posts previously accepted here can be directed to one of the interactive sites.
I'm having trouble putting the endorsement html onto my website.
Check the Technical Help page.
What happened to the American Hamster Association (AHA)?
The AHA never really got off the ground. The person who started it is no longer keeping hamsters, and the website is offline.
Are there any plans to restart the AHA?
No. It is on hold indefinitely until there are enough local clubs to participate in a national organization.
I have a Black Bear!
No, you don't. Please read this.
Where is the Breeders List?
Due to moving this site to a private one after MSN Groups closed, many web aspects and features are still under construction. The Breeders List is one of these. It is being worked on and will be back online soon.
